Saint Mary Magdalene will be hosting a Reconciliation service Friday September 9th at 7pm. The topic of the presentation will be 'What is Sin,' following which confessions will be heard.
Father Pat will start a new series of Instruction Classes on Wednesday evenings. The first session will be Wednesday, August 31, 7:00 p.m. “Why be Catholic?” Come to St. Aloysius Church and bring friends. The classes are for anyone in both parishes who is interested in the Catholic Faith. September sessions of the RCIA (Instructions in the Catholic Faith) will be held in St. Aloysius Church, 7:00-8:00 p.m. Topics will be advertised for evangelization purposes. Location of small group sessions starting in October to be determined.
The choir and/or cantor leads the assembly in their liturgical worship. They foster the art of liturgical music and enhance the liturgy through music. If you like to sing, please consider joining the choir. Auditions are not required. Rehearsals are held Wednesdays starting at 7:00 p.m., with the first rehearsal on September 21. ESL classes will be held on Monday evenings at Bishop Ready High School from 6:00-8:00 p.m. beginning September 12. If you know of anyone who is interested in learning to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language, please ask them to contact Virginia Mendez at [email protected]
Saints Alive Youth Group will be held on Wednesday, September 28 in Bishop Campbell Hall from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Students are asked to RSVP to Mrs. Oddi at [email protected]
Saints Alive Youth Group will begin monthly meetings on the second Sunday of the month starting September 11. Meetings will usually be in Bishop Campbell Hall following the 5:00 p.m. Mass. All St. Mary Magdalene school students, St. Mary Magdalene parishioners, and St. Aloysius parishioners grade 6 through high school are encouraged to attend these meetings. Confirmation classes for all students in grades 6-8 and above who intend to be confirmed this year will be in Bishop Campbell Hall on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. There will be a parent/student introductory meeting on Tuesday evening, September 6 at 6:00 p.m. in the church hall. Classes begin September 27. Confirmation is scheduled for Sunday, April 16 at the 5:00 p.m. Mass.
All students in grades 1-8 who are not attending a Catholic school should be registered and attend PREP religion classes. Classes are held in Bishop Campbell Hall on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. There will be a parent/student introductory meeting on Tuesday evening, September 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the church hall. Classes begin on Tuesday, September 27.

The Saint Mary Magdalene 8:15 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday morning Masses and Monday Morning Novena will soon be moving to 8:30 a.m. starting next week (8/22)
Monday, August 15 is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. The Holy Day Obligation is dropped this year because it falls on a Monday. Mass is offered at St. Mary Magdalene, 7:00 pm for those who would like to celebrate the feast.
