On October 17, 2022, we welcomed Fr. Slawomir Siok as our new parish administrator for St. Mary Magdalene and St. Aloysius parishes.
Fr. Siok was born in Myszyniec, Poland in 1963. He attended the school of Engineering and Technology for five years in Ostroleka, Poland for five years. After much discerning, he decided to enter the Minor Seminary of the Pallottines and was ordained on May 5th, 1990.
Fr. Siok’s first assignment as a priest was the Church of the Annunciation in Szymonki, Poland. He was the assistant pastor as well as the religion educator in the public elementary school system.
Fr. Siok was sent to Edinburgh, Scotland to learn English and to be the Chaplain for the Community of the Brothers of Charity. In 1992, the Pallottine fathers sent Fr. Siok to the United States. Bishop Head D.D., bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo assigned him to St. Peter’s in Lewiston, NY for six years. His next assignment was to Brooklyn, NY from 1998-2003. His first assignment as a pastor was to two twinned parishes in Niagara Falls, NY Holy Trinity and St. Stanislaus Kostka churches. He remained in that assignment until March 8, 2008, when his two parishes merged with Our Lady of Lebanon, Our Lady of The Rosary and St. George Parishes to form the new Divine Marcy Parish.
On July 1st, 2008 Fr. Siok moved to St. John de LaSalle in Niagara Falls, NY where he remained the pastor for 14 years before being assigned as our new parish administrator, taking over for Fr. Patrick Toner after his (second) retirement. Please welcome Fr. Siok to the community!
