We are all called and invited through our baptism to share in the different ministries of the Church and within the parish community. If you are interested in serving in one of our liturgical ministries, reach out to Fr. Pat or contact your parish office.
Participation is encouraged and training is provided for all of our liturgical roles, which include:
Altar Server: Assists the priest at the altar. Boys and girls 4th grade or older and adults who have received First Communion may serve.
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion: Assists the priest with the distribution of the Body of Christ at Mass. High School students and adults who have received First Communion and been Confirmed may assist.
Lector: Proclaims the Word of the Lord at Mass. High School students and adults who have received First Communion and been Confirmed may assist.
Greeter: Greets the congregation at the church doors before Mass, distributes bulletins, and assists visitors.
Usher: Takes up and secures the collection.
Music: Cantors, choir members and instrumentalist enhance the celebration of the Liturgy.
Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW): Adult helpers proclaim the Word of the Lord to the young children and reinforce the lesson with a craft. Must have attended a "Protecting God's Children" Session and had a background check.
